Carpathian Mountains are a mountain range belonging to the great central mountain system of Europe. Carpathian basin included between Vienna and the Danube gorge formed an arc with a length of 1500 km in Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania and Serbia.

The name comes from the Dacian tribe of Carpi, who lived in Moldova, the eastern slopes of the Carpathians, a name which, in turn, probably came from an Indo-European word meaning stone.

The highest peak is Gerlach whole Carpathians, 2655 m, in Slovakia and in Romania is Moldoveanu Peak, with 2544 m, situated in the Fagaras Mountains of Southern Carpathians.

Unlike the Alps, the Carpathians have large mountainous and their heights in the form of large areas covered with grassland. Carpathians belongs to the largest volcanic chain in Europe. Along with a large crystalline rocks and volcanic sedimentary rocks have an extension, giving a relief with gentle slopes.

Carpathians begin on the Danube near Bratislava. They surround Transcarpathia and Transylvania in a large semicircle, continues southeast, and end on the Danube near Orsova, Romania. The total length of the Carpathians is 1500 km, and the mountain chain width varies between 12 km and 500 km. The greatest width of the Carpathians corresponds with the highest altitude. Mountain chain is the largest width in hilly Plateau of Transylvania, and at the foot of the Tatra Mountains (the highest height of the Carpathians, with Gerlach know, which is 2 655 m altitude, the territory of Slovakia on the border with Poland. It covers an area 190 000 km2 and, after the Alps, is the most extensive mountain range in Europe.

Bear Cave was discovered in 1975, when a dynamite carried to the marble quarry in the area.

It is one of the main tourist attractions of the Apuseni Mountains, it being in Bihor county, close to town Chişcău, Pietroasa commune, at an altitude of 482 m.The interior is distinguished by the diversity of existing formations of stalactites and stalagmites, and the impressive amount of traces and fossils of bear`s cave – Ursus spelaeus – who disappeared 15,000 years ago. In addition it has been discovered and fossil chamois, ibex, lion and hyena caves. On entering the cave is a flag made from a waiting room, ticket office, a bar, a small museum and a stand speleological Souvenirs and crafts of the region.

With a length of over 1500 meters, the cave consists of galleries located on two levels: first gallery, the upper 488 meters in length can be visited by tourists, and the second 521 m long is reserved for research scientific.

The name is due to the numerous cave fossils “of  bear`s cave (Ursus spelaeus) found here. The cave was a place of shelter for these animals 15,000 years ago. In his old age, like many other mamaifere (ex. African elephant) of bear`s cave retreated to die in the same place as the predecessors. Witness the numerous cemeteries are discovered in caves in Romania (cave churches, cave with bones) or elsewhere where the skeletons were found intact, undisturbed.The entrance was clogged meantime. The cave remained so closed until September 17, 1975, when the gap was opened artificially

underground portion dynamiting the entrance, through the work of mining limestone (marble).The open pit has lowered for the first time, mineral Curta Traian from place Chişcău. It has come access gallery to the Great Hall.

A first exploration of the cave took place on September 20, 1975 made by the group of amateur speleologists “Speodava” Dr. Petru Groza of the town (now city Stei). Based on comprehensive studies undertaken by the Institute of Speleology “Emil Racoviţă” with Crisurilor Museum in Oradea, were established improvement solutions and specific measures of protection. After 5 years of world-class accommodation at July 14, 1980, the cave was opened to visitors. Annual cave is visited by over 200,000 visitors.

Forest Hoia Baciu is known in whole Romania and internationally for its hidden mysteries wich can be from pleasent to scarry .People living around the forest Hoia Baciu are convinced that  in this forest mysteries occur very offten, living ghosts, UFO’s, Demons and other bizzar things.

These stories come from the locals who encounterd or had a strange expirience in or near the Hoia Baciu forest. A native Tascau Matthew, says that in one nig

ht hhe walked in the woods to shorten the way home, barely reached the forest entrance road whet without warning a devil appeared in his way, about 2 m high, horns and ugly.

Matthew remained breathless, amazed and stuned,it didnt even knew what was happening to him, the only thing taht he could do was fall on hes knees and pray with his eyes close. About 7-9 minutes later he open his eyes continuing to pray and to his joy he was alone again, scarred and shocked he hurryed home and told all his strange and frightening encounter.

Back when, through the ’70s, the Bermuda Triangle is raging anger, several writers have argued that the region of legend missing aircraft and ships has its counterpart somewhere off the coast of south and southeast of Japan – space which was named “Sea Devil” – where disappearances would have happened so suddenly that ships and aircraft involved did not even have time to launch a single signal and help.

As with the Bermuda Triangle have been made all sorts of theoretical speculation on the reasons which caused the disappearances: abnormalities of space and time, or magnetic or gravitational origin, or – according to the theory proposed by Ivan T. Sanderson – a raceunderwater on Earth. It also stated that the Japanese government was alarmed because of this situation.

After a period during which time her fame was maintained scandal newspapers and magazines and books with sensational nature, Sea Devil became the subject of the first research conducted to clear up the legend, action initiated by Larry Kusch, Arizona State University librarian. Kusch has established that early legend dates back 27 and September 30, 1952, data from the New York Times reported unusual disaster, when two Japanese vessels sank in the ocean because waves caused by an undersea volcano known. On January 15, 1955, the same newspaper informed about another shipping disaster, using the term “Great Satan” that qualify as “mysterious cemetery of nine ships in recent five years.

In the first years after 1979, Kusch made an intense exchange of letters with officials from Japan and adjacent islands. Nobody ever heard the term “Great Satan“, in contrast, all officials argued that diving was not mysterious or unexplained. Absence call in radio in some cases occurred in the early 1950s was due simply to the fact that many owners did not have poor vessels transceiver stations.

In 1975, Kusch concludes by writing: “The story is based only on the loss of some fishing boats, twenty years ago, on a strip of 750 miles in the ocean, the spell of 5 years. The story was repeated so often that eventually was accepted as fact. “
